Walisongo or Walisanga is known as the spreader of Islam in the land of Java in the 14th century. Many of them have relations as teachers and students, friends, and some of them are descendants of the Prophet Muhammad they live in three important regions of the north coast of Java, namely Surabaya-Gresik-Lamongan in East Java, Demak-Kudus-Muria in Central Java, and Cirebon in West Java.
The Walisongo era is the era of the end of Hindu-Buddhist dominance in the archipelago culture to be replaced by Islamic culture. They are a symbol of the spread of Islam in Indonesia, especially in Java. Of course many other figures also play a role. But their very large role in establishing the Islamic Kingdom in Java, also its influence on the culture of the wider community and da'wah directly, making the story of Wali Songo more mentioned than others.
