Maintaining our health is the most important thing to get a better life. Some indicators which determine a healthy body is a good immune system and ideal body weight. Body weight is a variable that can determine the condition of a person, whether the person is healthy or not. Obesity is dealt with a body weight disease. It is one of the most serious death causes in many countries. It is not just merely about over weight problem, therefore we need to be aware of our health.
From the reason above, it has inspired me to create a project called PEDIA. It is a system that is made from a pair of smart shoes which can calculate body weight by using a microcontroller equipped with bluetooth module. Bluetooth is used for connecting the mobile based application to show the body weight of the user.
By using body weight, users will know the information of the ideal body weight by using data analysis,
such as:
- Body Mass Index
- Body Fat Percentage
- Calorie Consumption (BMR)
- Lean Body Mass (LBM)
- Resting Metabolic Rate (RMR)
- Minimal Fluid Intake
- Total Daily Energy Expenditure (TDEE)
- Maximum Heart Rate
- Target Heart Rate
